Who are Speech Language Pathologists?
Speech language Pathologists (SLPs) are trained professionals who prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat both children and adults with various communication delays and disorders that may stem from developmental, physiological, neurological, or hearing changes. By using intervention techniques that pertain to client interests and needs, SLPs work to help their clients build effective communication skills.
Who are Communicative Disorder Assistants?
Communicative Disorder Assistants (CDAs) work with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy goals for clients of varying communicative needs. They are qualified and trained to use a variety of tools and techniques to provide effective therapy and help clients achieve their communication goals.
